Life Lessons

Happy Monday T&T’s Entrepreneurs!

Doesn’t if feel great to wake up to another day in paradise? You still enjoy many freedoms in T&T that many around the world don’t. If you’re already at your dream job/business hurray for you. But for some of us, the struggle is real. Even if one or two aspects of our lives are a dream come true, I’m sure 9 out of 10 times, one aspect is two steps away from a nightmare.

Whether it’s your employee(s) causing mayhem, your demanding boss at your day job, your kids not doing so well at school, your love life (or lack thereof) on the brink of implosion, studies going haywire, coping with sickness or the loss of a loved one. If life, not everything is always sailing in the same direction of bliss (as much as we would like it to or convince ourselves that it is.)

And the thing we like to do is compare ourselves to others, whether it’s our family, our peers in real life or social media or those television personalities we like to call celebrities. Forget Nike for a minute. I have one word to the wise – DON’T DO IT! Well actually that’s 3 words, but you get the idea. The message is clear: Nobody’s life is always perfect. It’s probably never perfect, so get that notion out of your heads right now. Just do you and all will be well with the world.

Focus on making your life better. All aspects should score a perfect 10! Concentrate on your health and spirituality first. Family second and business/career third. Everything else is up to you. That’s the order I follow, although I admit not all of the time, but anything other than this will cause you to run into problems, take it from me.

In life it’s all about prioritizing and once you do this daily, your life should follow a particular order. Some of us get caught up and go through life without realizing the significance of what really matters at the right times. Then at the end of our lives, when it’s probably too late, we try to make up. But by then, all the people and things that once held us dear has eluded us and moved on, while we’re living in the past and trying to recapture the same magic of those moments of yesteryear.
Don’t let this be you.

Have a beautiful week ahead.

Keep trucking,
T&T’s Entrepreneurs Team
